Martin W. “Bud” Pernoll

Senior Managing Director / Chief Executive Office

Martin W. “Bud” Pernoll co-founded Bay Mutual Financial, LLC, in 2004 after a long and distinguished career at Morgan Stanley and Wachovia Securities, where he was a Senior Vice President. Bud received many levels of recognition; including Chairman’s Club and was also a member of Goldman Sach’s Blue Chip Council. He was recognized as Corporate Services Specialist at Morgan Stanley and Wachovia.Bud resides in Santa Monica, California with his identical twin daughters, Elizabeth and Gillian. Bud is active in the community, serving as Chairman of the Board of Governors and the Board of Directors for the Santa Monica Boy’s and Girl’s Club. He received the Community Champions Rising Star Award from Prudential Financial.

He graduated from Southern Methodist University and attended Executive Education at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance and Commerce.

Tom Demko


Tom Demko is President at Bay Mutual Financial. He a member of the Plan Advisors, Endowments and Entertainment Groups.  Mr. Demko joined the firm as a consultant in 2004 and full time in 2010.

Mr. Demko’s role in the company focuses on institutional & private wealth portfolio management, fiduciary responsibility and entertainment industry transactions.  As such, he advises BMF’s corporate, endowment and high net worth clients as a fiduciary.   Mr. Demko’s role in Bay Mutual Entertainment sources, structures, and executes entertainment industry transactions.

Prior to joining BMF full time, Mr. Demko was an executive and/or partner with several entertainment management and production entities.  Mr. Demko also sat on the advisory board of an alternative marketing company and a media startup.

Mr. Demko holds series 24,7, 66 and California Insurance licensures.  He has a BA in Political Science from the University of San Diego.  He regularly lectures for The Retirement Laboratory and other programs, focusing on legislative and Department of Labor trends, behavioral finance as well as fiduciary mentoring.
